Kim Spletter is also the instructor for Pedaling For Parkinson's at the YMCA of Frederick County. Pedaling a bicycle may dramatically change the life of someone with Parkinson's disease. Research has shown that pedaling at a rate of 80 to 90 revolutions per minute could decrease current symptoms by as much as 35%.
Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM.

For the second year in a row we observed Parkinson's Awareness Month with a trip to Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium to watch the Frederick Keys.
The Keys are the Carolina League (Class A Advanced) affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
